The Nemetschek AG had in the first half of 2009 under the weak economy to suffer. As the provider of software for architecture, engineering and construction industry on Friday announced decreased revenues compared to the first six months of the previous year of 73.3 million euros to 65.2 million euros, an increase of 11 percent. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) declined from 15.3 million to 12.9 million euros. The EBITDA margin reached 19.8 percent, to 20.8 per cent in the year-earlier period. Net income was reduced from 7.0 million to 4.7 million.
The company expects to be expected with a sales decline of around 10 percent in fiscal year 2009, the Group’s operating margin (EBITDA margin) in the range of 20 percent of use. Previously, the company had a turnover decrease 5-10 percent forecast. “With a market upturn, we expect the earliest in the fourth quarter,” said CEO Ernst Homolka.
